Choir Class B
singing at your own pace
Learning to sing together and developing individually at your own pace. Once a week the children come to the Academy of Vocal Arts to playfully discover their voice. With their own choir folder, scores, a tuning fork and the book they start to read notes, so they can become musically independent. They experience being on stage during the annual summer- and Christmasconcert.

What do we do DURING the lessons?
Choir Class B has lesson once a week. The main part of the lesson is the choir rehearsal. The children learn several songs in different languages, they learn to read notes and they prepare for the annual Christmas- and Summerconcert. In this lesson they also learn games and stage presentation, in a fun, playful way.
Another part of the lesson is the singing lesson. Learning to listen to each other and discover your own voice is something we do according to Lichtenberg. It's always a great pleasure to be able to take the next step in the development of this beautiful, personal instrument!
Finally we have the solfège- and theory lesson. Here the children work from Music Theory Junior of Basis, in which they learn the building blocks of music in a playful way. They show the teacher individually what they practiced from Jongleren at home. With this book they learn how to read notes step by step.
The teacher of Choir Class B is Marijke van Klaveren.
