THE CHOIR IN SHORT
The concert choir of the Academy of Vocal Arts! Choir members have (almost) finished the second part of Jongleren and start the third part. Concerts, trips in The Netherlands and abroad and festivals are on the program.
LESSON DAYS
Tuesdays 19.00-20.05h choir rehearsal
Thursdays 18.00-19.05h choir rehearsal (last 15 minutes with Musicanti)
Singing lesson in a small group (15 minutes, Tuesday before or Thursday after the choir rehearsal)
Solfège/music theory (30 minutes, Tuesday before or Thursday after the choir rehearsal)
WHAT IS THE HAGUE CHILDREN'S CHOIR?
The Hague Children's Choir is for children that have finished the education of the ACVA and have laid a foundation in sightreading, music theory and healthy use of voice. During the rehearsals they expand their knowledge and musical skills and also in the solfège- and singing lessons they work on the building blocks that are needed to reach musical independence.
Filled with enthusiasm The Hague Children's Choir performs regularly in The Netherlands and abroad. They have a lot of stage experience by singing every year in among others several performances of the St Matthew Passion by Bach and the yearly summer- and Christmas concerts of the ACVA.
Over the past years The Hague Children's Choir went on concert trips to among others Paris, Gelsenkirchen and Söhlde. During the European Music Festival for Youth in Neerpelt, Belgium, the choir got several first prizes. The conductor of The Hague Children's Choir is Daniëlle van Lieshout.

Not everyone can enter The Hague Children's Choir. You first need a certain base level, so you can enjoy together with your choir friends the beautiful repertoire that passes.
During the intake we decide together in which group you can start best. Maybe that is The Hague Children's Choir!
Are you older than 11 years and have you never done something with music before? Especially for you we designed this preliminary phase!
