Young Men's Chorus

THE CHOIR IN SHORT

If the boy's voice disappears, there is a lot to experience for singing young men. The voice drops, the sound becomes sonorous, a new area opens up.

LESSON DAYS

Tuesdays 20.10-20.40h choir rehearsal

Private singing lesson before or after the rehearsal (20 minutes)

Solfège/music theory on Tuesday before the rehearsal (15 minutes)

WHAT IS THE YOUNG MEN'S CHORUS?

Boys discover their new voice by combining singing together with private singing lesson. This combination makes sure they are guided properly in this special period, where making music is a constant, calming factor in this stage of development.

Next to the rehearsals of the Young Men's Chorus on Tuesday the choir members also sing in The Young Ensemble, where they get acquainted with chamber choir repertoire.

The Young Men's Chorus is part of ACVA VOCES, that regularly performs big pieces like the Mozart Requiem, the St John Passion and the Requiem of Duruflé. The conductor of the Young Men's Chorus is Daniëlle van Lieshout.
