For those that are ready to take te step towards professional children's choir conductor. One-on-one guidance during main subject lessons, observing rehearsals and lesson to choir classes ánd an internship.
WHAT ARE THE OPTIONS?
We would love to see a good possibility for children to develop vocally in every city. Therefore the ACVA offers several options for (children's) choir conductors to develop on this level.
CHILDREN'S CHOIR CONDUCTING COURSE
Do you want to learn everything about the profession of children's choir conductor? This course is definitely something for you. Main subject teacher Marijke van Klaveren is ready to guide you one-on-one and answer all your questions during the main subject lessons. Didactics, pedagogics, conducting technique and piano skills are part of the course, but also music theory, music history and the making or redacting of plans to create your own children's choir.
Next to the main subject lessons you actively follow an internship at the ACVA. You observe, teach and evaluate directly afterwards with Marijke.
JUNIOR
The first phase of the course. You have the internship at the Choir Classes and learn on deep didactics and pedagogics of the child (6-10 years).
SENIOR
The next step in the course. You have the internship at The Hague Children's Choir (9-13 years), where you develop towards rehearsing two- and threepart repertoire.
MASTER
The final stage of the course. You have the internship with selection choir Musicanti (10-16 years) and learn to work with talented youth at the highest level.
